To England with Engle
What do you get when you throw college students in a foreign country with almost entirely unlimited freedom?
Perhaps … a Duchess? A chance to meet the queen - or better yet, her corgis.
See it. Say it. Sorted.

Information about the Professor.
Professor Randall D. Engle, PhD
I graduated from High School in Pella, Iowa, a Dutch immigrant community where the world-famous Pella windows are made. My undergraduate degree is from Calvin University, and then I received my first Master’s degree from Calvin Theological Seminary. Then I earned a second Master’s degree from St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. I earned my PhD in historical theology from the University of Wales in 2010 and started teaching the same year.
I live in Troy, Michigan. My wife and I are empty nesters (my son and daughter-in-law in Chicago; our daughter, her husband, and our grandbaby in Zeeland, MI). But our fur baby is still home with us, a miniature dachshund (aka Wiener dog) named Milly.
I love working in my garden and yard. And I love a challenging game of racquetball. Oh, I’m the world-leader in Candy Crush (not kidding, I’m on level 11,605 in Bubblegum Hill and still crushing upward).
I teach courses in religious studies and Christianity. At Oakland University I also develop and teach a new course each semester in the Honors College. And in the summers, I lead a course Cross and Crown that begins on campus, but ends for the last two weeks in London, England.
